The Cambridge Strategy Group has outlined a three-stage strategy for expanding its services and operations. As CSG expands its offerings, it will constantly focus on finding new ways to help small businesses become more successful. Expansion of Consulting Team: As the existing team gains experience working together across time zones, CSG will add new consultants who bring various skill sets to the company. We will open up additional offices in other cities and states to provide more "points of local contact" for our clients. Introduction of New Services: New team members will bring new skills and potentially allow us to offer new services to our small business clients.

Determining a Plan for Setting Prices

Pricing is magic. They don't teach much about pricing in business schools because good pricing is one of those concepts that you recognize when you see it, but is hard to define. While there are some common pricing methods used by business planners to set pricing strategies for startup businesses, none of them work that well, and none of them are automatic or easy. How to Sell an Idea to Your Boss

What do you do if you’re a middle manager who sees the big picture but you work for a boss who only focuses on the here and now? That was the heart of question I received at recent workshop I conducted on leading from the middle for a national conference of training and development professionals. It was clear that the questioner had had first-hand experience with a boss who wanted his direct reports to know their place and not be thinking or acting big. And therein lies the challenge for eager, upwardly mobile self-starting managers: you want to put your ideas into play and see their results, but your boss only wants you to do what you’re told.

How to Develop a Business Growth Strategy

Turning a small business into a big one is never easy. The statistics are grim. Research suggests that only one-tenth of 1 percent of companies will ever reach $250 million in annual revenue. But if that's not good enough for you—or if you recognize that staying small doesn't necessarily guarantee your business's survival— there are examples of companies out there that have successfully made the transition from start-up to small business to fully-thriving large business.
